Livestock Manager 


To coordinate the agricultural (primarily equine and livestock) components of the Provincial Exhibition events including:

· Production of event prize books

· Work with committee to hire officials, plan the content of the show, schedule, etc

· Process livestock and exhibitor entries

· Communicate with fair exhibitors

· Coordinate livestock stabling

· Maintain an entry data base and related accounting

· Perform other duties as necessary to ensure the smooth running of the Ag component of the fairs

The ideal candidate will have:

· Strong organizational skills

· Proficient computer skills including Microsoft Office

· The ability to work independently and in a team

· The ability to work in a high stress situation

· Excellent customer service skills

· Experience working in the agricultural/fair/equine/livestock industry

· Experience with show programs AssistExpo and HorseShowTime would be an asset

· Applicants should be prepared to work varying hours around events.
